How to remove correction fluid stains


Step 1:Allow the correction fluid stain to dry completely. Attempting to remove it while wet will only make the stain larger and more difficult to deal with.


Step 2:After it has dried, scrape as much of the correction fluid off the garment or carpeting as possible.


Step 3:Apply a pretreating fluid or laundry detergent to the stained material and allow it to set. Wash as you normally would.


Step 4:Use a chlorine or oxygen bleach to treat more stubborn correction fluid stains. Read the garment's label for care instructions.


Step 5:Take dry clean only garments to a professional. Household laundry detergents, pretreaters and chemicals may damage the fabric.
