Sometimes glass or metal mixing beads are included in the container to help re-disperse the titanium dioxide. In this case, the user has to shake before using. Other ingredients added include chelating agents that help protect metal parts in the applicator, defoamers that prevent excessive bubbling, and preservatives that prevent biological contamination.
